ART 204

Here is a brief description of what we were asked to do for this assignment:

based on these parameters I chose to use Portland, Oregon, my hometown as my destination and took elements that are distinctly and recognizably Portland, including Mt Hood, St. John's bridge, and the infamous Portland, Oregon sign.

ART 106

For this assignment we were asked to create a diptych self-portrait. For this assignment I chose to create the real and raw private side of myself(left) using blind contor, my intention was to create an almost grotesque version of myself. For the other half I wanted to create my public image, what I display to others, a glamour shot, if you will. The resulting product you see shows that sometimes the truer version of our selves has the most beauty especially when strong emotions are put into it.

ART 225

For this assignment we were asked to come up with 9 images that were symbols of our identity, then take pictures of those things and then using acrylic paint mix our colors to match our image and paint that image.

ART 315 Cup Project

For this assignment we were asked to create a ceramic cup, for mine I wanted to play with the idea of non-functionality, making it as unwelcoming to drink out of as well as logistically difficult, creating only one small opening in the top and creating a rocking base.
